  Hi: Anna how are you I hope you be fine. If you want to visit a paradise you should go to Chiapas. There you will find rainforest, ansestral culture,  small comunities, waterfalls, beaches, beautifull lakes. If you are interested you should visit in Chiapas:

Main City: Tuxtla Gutierrez

Places to visit:

Cañon del Sumidero: It is like Grand Canyon but is water filled by river Grijalba

Chiapa de Corzo: Colonial spanish town

Palenque: Archeological mayan ruins

Agua Azul waterfalls:

Yaxilan: Mayan ruins deep in forest, just in the border with Guatemala

El Chiflon waterfalls

Boca del Cielo: Virgin beach between the sea and a manglar

 but most important stuff is maybe that almost those places
