| Tree-Nation Fairy Tales Chapter 2 - The Far Cousin [Legend] One day, a far cousin of Acacia family, the Acacia Mangium Acacia Mangium from La Pedregoza, Colombia, visit to Niger Heart forest. [Sita13] This was a very special occasion because usually trees don't travel a lot. All the plants and animals living in the Niger Heart forest looked forward to meeting their guest and they were curious what the far cousin of the Acacia family would tell them about his journey. [Lathikka] Acacia Mangium was excited to see his cousins and neighbors too. Before he could absorb the details of the landscape his attention was caught by his cousins. He was all captured by how they look; their posture, their color. Suddenly he thought how different they are from him, yet how very much alike.. [kittehlady] .....It was a really hot day, so they all decided to go down to the River & have a drink & while they were drinking their fill, ACACIA MANGIUM heard from his Cousins, all about the TERROR of NIGER ! It sounded Ferocious, Very Scarey & Hungry for the Succulent Leaves, on his Cousin's Branches ! In COLOMBIA, there was No such Animal & he thought to himself........ [biglor] I will simply jump in the river and go swimming. That way I can cool off, and also hide from the TERROR of NIGER, even if it doesn't live in Columbia... [kittehlady] .....His Cousins said , "please come out of the River & tell us about your travels in getting here ". They also added that the TERROR of NIGER, wasn't really Too Terrible & that NO ACACIA TREES, had actually died from any encounters with it ! So he felt instantly more confident & agreed to tell them details about his Journey...... [Lathikka] Since he noticed the vast difference of the atmosphere in Niger from home, he started off by relating to his native place. He told them how wet it could get back home and all about its world famous rivers.. [Sita13] Acacia Mangium was a great storyteller and so his relatives and new friends all listened carefully. While he talked about his home, the Acacia family from the Niger Heart Forest imagined this exotic place far away in Colombia. When Acacia Mangium finished his report, Acacia Senegal sighed: "I wish I could see this wonderful place some day!" [Lathikka] Acacia Mangium replied "but you can" "just like I came here, you can visit Colombia too" Acacia Senegal was not too positive about this idea, she wasn't sure whether she actually want to leave the Niger Heart. Then Mangium said "may be your children would love to go there. Senegal started thinking "hmm.. not a bad notion" [Legend] "This is a good opportunity for our next generation to see the outside world." said Senagal to his sisters. Laeta and Sieberiana both agreed. Without delay, each of them sow a seed into a flower pot. And soon their children start germinate. ... please continue ... |
