Imagine you live in a city free of the noise, stench and danger of cars. Perhaps this isn't really realistic. Removing all cars in Barcelona at this stage- wouldn´t be possible but what we can do is start a movement making small changes ending up in completing our goal. It´s not just about the freedom to move but also about creating a sustainable future!

We could simply start by making certain streets car free on Sundays so people can walk or roller-skate. An other option is getting some central parts of the city car free. Off course we still need public transportation to move people around. But imagine that this is the only traffic in the city! Things would be so much easier and buses and taxis would arrive much faster on their destinations.

To see what international experts have to say about this check this website: www.worldcarfree.net Barcelona wouldn´t be the first city accomplishing this. Currently, Barcelona only has a few streets in Barri Gotic that are car free!

We can start this movement by getting this petition signed by as much inhabitants in Barcelona as possible. With 100,000 signatures this petition will be presented to Jordi Hereu I Boher, the mayor of Barcelona. Stand up for a cause worth fighting for!
