Eco-architecture is the harmonisation between architecture and nature. When constructing a building every single step is done in the most ecological friendly way, and the design of the building shows consideration for the environment. The use of solar energy and natural ventilation is becoming more and more popular these days. For example Google Inc. plans a solar-powered electricity system at its Silicon Valley headquarters that will rank as the largest U.S. solar-powered corporate office complex. The Catalan Government, UAB University and the company Zicla have asked 6 designers to show their ideas to more eco-friendly urban elements.
Another popular topic within eco-architecture is the green roofs in large cities.
