This morning I wondered: couldn't they (= tree-nation) sell blocks of trees to businesses and let them grow their logo? Say you sell blocks (perhaps even in a vacant region, not yet open to the rest of the world) to Mercedes or some other polluting/and/or concerned company that likes to do better in the world. They can contribute and compensate their CO2 emission and at the same time show that to the rest of the world and perhaps inspire other businesses to do the same.
They can give/dedicate trees to their clients instead of giving those useless thermometers, leather whatevers and fake golden pens businesses keep giving.
You could give them a block and allow them to have that block for a certain amount of time, perhaps depending on how many other trees they plant, or simply by letting them pay something extra, but after a while it will be beautifully absorbed by the rest of the forest.
I can see how this will work for all parties.

I see the problem in the fact that nowadays all of the automobile companies move towards ecology themselves. BMW and other leading companied work actively to create and put on assembly line ecological engines that have no CO2 emissions. So here I guess it will be better to promote tree planting projects through fluel prodicing companies and maybe it will be better to start from the russian market.

well what you say is perfectly true. We first took care to develop a proper offer and are now ready to sell 'tree packs' to companies and so.

Currently we are recruiting a sale team to make sure we do this at a fast pace.

Meanwhile if you have any contact of a company you know would be interested in planting trees, please let us know.
We would greatly appreciate any help that end up in more planted trees.

Ciao Guys!

I've just seen that we're now 1.624 trees. Most of them are "owned" by persons, by different people who're sensible to this argument and are able to purchase a tree. A gift or not, to purchase a tree is something I did once and maybe I'll repeat in the future to celebrate different moment of my life or the life of my relatives.
If everyone is simply and normally acting like me ... well, we'll need 50 years to reach our goal: 8 milions trees!

So, how to push over this process- How to fasten it a bit-
I've noticed there are some companies already in T-N, and not with 1 tree, not with 2, but with tens of them (ex. an atelier from Geneve). That's matter of funds. Companies, Firms, Associations surely have more funds than me, than every simple person. That's why in my idea we should promote T-N in between them. They should be aware that once they've donated ten, a hundred, a thousand trees, they can enter in a group. The T-N Sponsors!
What will be their profit-  ... For instance the appearance in a specific area of the park with any distinctive sign to recognize it. Or maybe the possibility of using T-N logo in their promotional material.
I'm Export Manager in a Multi-National company in Italy and I know that the "Environmental Friendly" argument is becoming day by day more and more important. To be sponsor of T-N would effect immediatly in their first appearance to customers.
Maybe T-N should ... evaluate them, but that's a second, further step of this discussion. Let's begin firstly with the feasibility of this idea.

that's exactly the spirit ! That's why there is also a virtual map and everyone can freely place its trees.
but so far Mercedes didn't contacted us ;-)
There are so many things to do for ecology that we can't start everything at the same time. We hope our community will grow and all together we will manage to start many projects and get many contacts to make everyone participate.
We can already see our members having some great ideas ;-). Keep it up.
