Respect for our Mother Earth and our Relations, the plant, animal, mineral and vegetable kingdoms are interwoven in a rich cultural heritage through ceremony and prayer that have sustained these people persecuted for generations, yet remain undeniably resilient to this day.
Their stories passed down through the ages enlighten and enrich new generations giving a renewed cultural identity in a world that would prefer assimilation and denial.
My personal connection with the Stoney Plains, Cree, Anishinabek, Ojiway, Dene tribes have each shared taught me so much in many different ways over the years. I continue to learn and grow with an open heart. Acceptance to me means 'walking a mile in another's moccasins' ... in beauty and wisdom on this Red Road.
