The Baobab trees live for a long time, so by planting a tree today, you will be giving life to a Baobab tree for at least 1,000 years, while 2,000 years seems possible. In Africa, the "Tree of Life" is a sacred tree,and the Senegalese emblem. The oldest and most famous Baobab is found at Shiramba, by the river Zambeze, at an age of around 2000 years old. It was discovered by Livingstone.
