What do I get when I buy a tree?


You will receive a virtual tree, which corresponds to the real and happy tree that we will plant on your behalf. This tree will bring real benefits and positive changes for the local communities. On our interactive website, you can follow the development of the project daily, and as a tree guardian you have the additional benefits:

- Online tools to follow the real growth and progress of your tree
- A virtual Tree with content and comments facilities
- The option to get more trees planted for Free thanks to the "Water my tree ©" system.
- Your tree can be found by more people on the Internet allowing you to spread your ideas and projects
- Finally, a warm fuzzy feeling inside!



I’m still not convinced that I should buy a tree…


Well, we have no problem with that. We believe you should not commit yourself to anything before being fully convinced. That’s why we have a community of members and we provide all of the facilities for you to talk freely on it. We still strongly encourage you to become a member of the community and participate in discussions and debates. After all, just by being part of the community and discussing the issue, you are already helping.

And at Tree-Nation, we will be very happy if one day you decide to plant a tree with us!



Is the shop secure?


At Tree-Nation, we believe that online payment security and protection of personal data is crucial. The logos present represent the technologies we employ in order to guarantee our customers maximum security.



You will be sent to a secured web page, all personal information will be sent over a secured SSL encrypted connection.
Tree-Nation does not keep, nor has access to your credit card information. All information is processed by PayPal or "La Caixa" bank.



I want to buy trees for my company/ event / school / wedding / other…

Do I have to pay for membership?


No. Membership is FREE! You can become a member of our community for free and have access to a range of services in our system: discussion groups, blog access, photo collection, make friends with like-minded people, chat with other members, and generally enjoy the buzzing community vibes!



Can I get a tree for free?


YES! That's also possible. You have 2 options for this:
- The Make it Grow ©
- The Water my tree © (you need to have one tree planted already)

What is the "Make it Grow ©" ?


If you help Tree-Nation to grow, in the long run you help us to plant more trees. Therefore we reward you by offering you a free tree each time you manage to get 10 more friends to join the Tree-Nation community. We call it the "Make it Grow ©".
Just Join and start inviting your friends. Then check your progress in your Make it Grow section.



What is the "Water my Tree ©" ?


"Water my Tree ©" is a brand new and original feature of Tree-Nation.
Each time you find this little button on the site, it means you can water a tree. By clicking on it OR by leaving a comment on the tree you will automatically add a little "Water drop" to the tree.

• When a tree reaches 100 Water drops, it's owner will be granted a Moringa tree for free. Then the water drop counter will go back to zero.
• When the tree reaches 200 Water drops, it's owner will be granted an Pinus caribaea tree for free & counter will reset to zero.
• When the tree reaches 400 Water drops, it's owner will be granted an Acacia senegal tree for free & counter will reset to zero.
• Finally, when the tree reaches 800 Water drops, it's owner will be granted an Ziziphus mauritiana tree for free.

So the more you water trees on Tree-Nation, the more trees are planted. Quite simple, isn't it?

Rules:
- You can only water once every 24 hours the same tree
- Trees offered by Tree-Nation cannot be watered, only trees planted or offered by members.
- hummm... that's it!

What's the trick?
It's simple: on a tree page, we rent some advertising space. Nothing crazy, just a little ad in a corner.
The Tree Owner is able to allow or disallow this option on his/her tree as he/she prefers.
The money we get from those ads will allow the planting of the offered trees. So we hope that maybe for the first time you will be happy to see some advertising on a website!



I can't register…


This might be due to the browser you are using. We work on having the maximum compatibility with all browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome...) .
For the best navigation experience on our site, a recent version of firefox will be just fine.

I suspect my friend isn't receiving my gift…


You offered a tree but you are not sure your friend received it?

Have you yourself received a confirmation email?

- Yes!
This means your tree has been created.
-- Now check in this confirmation email that your friend email is the correct one. If not, Contact us indicating the Sale ID and the correct email of your friend. We will then resend him/her the email.
--Your friend email is correct. It is possible your friend still hasn't checked his emails lately. We suggest you give your friend a call to be sure.
--Your friend email is correct and you are sure your friend didn't received it in it's mailbox. This means our email went to his/her spam/junk mailbox or, worse, didn't even reached. This can happen as some mail system could wrongly consider our emails as spam. If this happen Contact us indicating the Sale ID and mentioning "I want to receive a copy of the gift email to forward it to my friend". We will then send you the gift email which you can transfer to your friend. Because your friend knows you (and certainly knows also your email), chances your email pass the spam filter are much higher. Attention: do not test the tree code or you would then collect the tree on your own profile.

- No
This might be because of after purchasing the tree, you closed the page while you where on the payment service (Paypal or LaCaixa) without going back to our site. In this case our system could not detect automatically your purchase. We operate regular checks to manually correct this problem.
Anyway, to speed up the process, contact us indicating the Sale ID and mentioning "I did not received any confirmation for my purchase". We will then create your tree and send to you: a confirmation, to your friend: his/her gift email.

You feel a bit lost? Just Contact us and explain the problem with your own words. We will recontact you to fix the problem.

I love the project, how can I help?


Your help is vital to Tree-Nation. The project was designed to place YOU at the center of the action. We made sure it's easy, fun and self-rewarding to help the project grow. Everyone can help. As every person is unique there are numerous ways to get involved. We believe the most valid way to help is simply the one you'd like to provide. Everyone has its own talent, so help us where you believe you could impact the most positively.

Below are a few suggestions. We are happy that you bring your owns too.

- Start by Joining the community. Let say it's your involvement starting point.

- Then invite all your friends. 10 of your friends joining, and you will get your first tree planted, and for free. We offer you a tree because we know they will, in their turn, get involved as well.

- Plant a tree. Obviously, this is the most direct help. However don't worry if you can't afford it for now. With Tree-Nation, there are many other ways to end-up planting trees.
